MEDFONE expanding Wantagh headquarters
MEDFONE,
Inc. is in the midst of expanding and renovating its corporate headquarters. The project, launched last year, has an expected completion date of March 15.
The Wantagh building that's home to MEDFONE is owned by Miller Realty of Glen Cove, but Medfone officials said the majority of the expansion tab is being picked up by the company.
Although that cost was not disclosed, MEDFONE said it was approved for a $100,000 federal grant from the New York State Department of Labor to train new employees.
"We are expanding to over 12,000 square feet of office space, and our employee ranks will more than double," said Jay Moses, president of
MEDFONE, a full-service call center specializing in outsourced calling and Web-based solutions for the electronic retailing, direct marketing, pharmaceuticals, hospital, medical practice and managed care segments of the health industry. "The company is in aggressive growth mode."
The renovation will increase the number of seats in MEDFONE's call center and will create up to 100 new jobs at the company, which operates 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
