>>MEDFONE Aids Pharmaceutical Company In Its Quest To Treat Multiple Sclerosis Patients


A leading, publicly traded, international pharmaceutical company embarked on a 180-patient, international clinical trial to test their newly developed drug treatment against the currently approved medication for Multiple Sclerosis sufferers. If the trial proves successful, this study will require a larger clinical trial so the company can apply for regulatory approval of the drug. This company needed a call center to handle incoming calls from various countries in several languages and to screen potential participants for eligibility in the study. After eligibility is determined, participants need to be assigned to a facility in their area where the study is being conducted. 


MEDFONE has assisted this pharmaceutical company by developing clinical trial recruitment campaigns with customized inbound live agent, Interactive Voice Response (IVR), and email management solutions. All calls are being handled by a team set up to determine eligibility of potential participants, as well as, provide them with contact information and a clinical study site in their area.

As part of their bankruptcy protection plan, they sold their customer prescription files to a major supermarket/pharmacy in the Northeast during the liquidation process. Ensuring that patients were able to get their needed medications without disruption was of primary importance. Over 100,000 customers needed to be contacted immediately to be informed about the location changes of their prescriptions.


MEDFONE immediately created a customized live agent outbound calling campaign. Additionally, in order to accomplish this massive task, MEDFONE had to profile and recruit extra agents for the project.
