MEDFONE encourages our employees to become active in the community. To promote this, our managers and staff have joined together for many events and charities.
Often our employees are the source for new community
events. The following are some of the events MEDFONE
has participated in.

Breast Cancer 5K Walk Jones Beach October 2004 At the suggestion of several employees,
MEDFONE will be a corporate participant at this upcoming event.

Blood Drive Through the New York Blood Center. Had our first drive in May 2004,
the second in August 2004. On Long Island, as well as New York City, we are constantly in a crisis level regarding the blood supply.
MEDFONE is dedicated to doing out part to help this extremely important effort.

Row for a Cure August 2004 - As Rick Shalvoy embarks on his eighth annual 300-mile row around Long Island,
MEDFONE supports his Breast Cancer fundraising efforts by donating call center services to receive and manage pledges and contributions to his effort.

JPMorgan Chase Corporate Challenge July 2004 Close to forty (40) employees participated in a walk/run. The primary beneficiary for this event will be the United Way of Long Island.

US Troops July 2004 - We collected personal care items for the USO to distribute to the US troops overseas. This project is being led by another call center employee, Susan McCoy.
Can Drive June 2004 Led by Kathleen Dunn,
MEDFONE collected cans for a local church, St. Francis de Chantal.
MEDFONE was able to collect close to 300 canned items for the church.
 AIDS New York Walk May 2004 - Over forty employees, friends and family participated in the largest AIDS fundraising event in the country.
MEDFONE raised over $4,500. Entire team who participated also helped design our company t-shirts and raise money for this cause. David Koznitsky from the call center spearheaded this project.

Salvation Army December 2003 - We have recently participated in two events with the Salvation Army. The first was the Angel Tree at Christmas time. We are provided with a tree of paper leaves. Each leaf has the name, size and some information about a child. Employees selected leaves and purchased gifts for these children. The second event was a clothing drive this past May.

Lee Jeans Denim Day October 2003 - On behalf of the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation,
MEDFONE organized a Wear your Denim Day to raise money for this cause.
